Deep work, real growth.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy focuses on the task of growing more fully into yourself. In contrast to recent popular manualized treatments such as CBT and DBT, we don’t limit ourselves to symptom resolution - our project is much more ambitious. At its core, this looks like the emergence of individual subjectivity in the presence of a closely listening other.

Relational psychotherapy understands that in order to emerge as a grounded, individual self we require a compassionate witness. The therapeutic relationship is unique, and uniquely transformative. The therapy room is a space where all of your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs are allowed and can therefore be examined and have the potential to change.

By committing to this process together, we can help you find your way through limiting patterns of thought, behavior, and emotion, not just management of distress. Ultimately, resolution occurs when the question posed by the symptom or problem you are facing no longer interests you.

In a world of quick fixes and ready-made answers, a psychoanalytic approach offers a space for the unconscious to speak, and for you to finally be heard.
